The Avolution was founded as an avocado marketing company in 2012.
From the outset, we wanted to do things differently. Our growers needed to plan for the year ahead, to coordinate volumes and set prices. And we wanted to establish a disruptive model that gave them high returns.
Our other objective was to add value to our retail, wholesale and foodservice partners. To give them security of supply. To ensure that the quality of our avocados and fruit was consistently high – and that the price was right.
And that’s exactly what we’ve achieved. Leveraging the latest technology, we’ve revolutionized the avocado supply chain – providing industry-leading management that benefits our growers and the business partners we supply.
Over the years, our commitment to best practice has attracted business partners across the spectrum.
Now we work with 120 growers to supply over 40 leading retail, wholesale and foodservice businesses across Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore.
At heart, The Avolution is a family business – one that takes pride in supporting other families.
Oversupply leads to a low ebb in avocado pricing.
Fed up with the lack of security and control, The Avolution is founded by 2 avocado growers who want to focus on growing and packing rather than marketing.
We operate under a disruptive model designed to give most money back to growers. Unlike the rest of the sector, we don’t work on commission. Instead, growers receive a fixed fee per box.
We employ our first team member – we’ve employed one more every year since. And guess what? Not a single one has left.
We become the supplier for Woolworths
We hit 50 growers and begin exporting to Singapore
