Australian Citrus
Navel oranges, mandarins, and seedless lemons from the Riverina, Central New South Wales, and Sunraysia. In season May through November. Supplied to domestic retail and export partners across Asia and the Middle East.
Our Approach
The Avolution Model. Applied to Citrus.
The Avolution built its reputation on one proposition: growers see exactly what the market paid for their fruit, and buyers get a supply partner who holds program commitments when markets move. In 2026 we brought that model to citrus.
Same return-to-grower structure. Same specification discipline. Same programmatic approach to export. Citrus is one of Australia's leading fresh fruit export categories, and the markets we already operate in are among its strongest destinations. We didn't enter this category to trade spot fruit. We entered it to build programs.

What We Supply
Three Citrus Lines

Navel Oranges
The volume line of the Australian citrus season. Sweet, seedless, and consistent, with the eating quality that Asian and Middle Eastern retail programs are built on.

Mandarins
Easy-peel mandarins across the season's key windows. A category where Australian fruit competes on flavour and skin finish, not on price.

Seedless Lemons
Clean skin, high juice content, consistent sizing. A growing line for retail and foodservice buyers who specify to a standard.
Availability
In Season May Through November
Australian citrus runs counter-seasonal to the northern hemisphere. When supply from other origins winds down, ours is starting. That window is the commercial logic of the category. Our export programs are timed to it, and our grower regions are selected to cover it end to end.

Why The Avolution
How We Run Citrus
Program Supply. Not Spot.
Specifications, countsizes, pack formats, and allocation volumes agreed before the season opens. Theagreement holds through the season. That's how we run avocados, and it's how werun citrus.
Established Grower Regions
The Riverina, Central New SouthWales, and Sunraysia. Experienced growers and packing infrastructure built forexport.
Sea Freight at Volume
Citrus travels well by sea.Full-container programs open retail volume in markets where air freighteconomics limit other categories. Cold chain managed from packing shed todestination port.
Export Markets
Where Our Citrus Goes
Export programs are focused on the Middle East, India,Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, and Thailand alongside domestic retail and wholesale supply. Each market is served the same way: forward-allocated, specification-agreed, and managed through the full cold chain. If you're an import buyer, distributor, or retail category manager in any of these markets and you want to talk about citrus programs, contact our export team: exports@theavolution.com.au
For Growers
Grow Citrus?
If you grow citrus in the Riverina, Central New South Wales, or Sunraysia and you want to understand what a return-to-grower partnership looks like, reach out. You'll see the price your fruit achieved, the documented costs between your shed and the customer, and prompt payment. The same model our avocado growers have worked with for over a decade.
