HOW WE WORK

Different partners need different things from a supply relationship. Here's what working with The Avolution looks like from each side of the business.

GROWERS

Growers who partner with The Avolution get one thing that's harder to find than it sounds: a clear answer to what their fruit earned. Our return-to-grower model means payment based on actual market returns: the price achieved, minus the documented costs to get there. Nothing pooled with other growers' fruit. Nothing estimated in advance and reconciled months later. The number on your payment statement is the number the market produced, and every cost between your shed and the customer is visible. Payments are made promptly. That's not a marketing line; it's the commercial commitment that makes a grower partnership worth building. We visit farms. We understand growing systems. We communicate market conditions clearly, including when they're difficult. And we build export programs that protect the return when the domestic market softens, which it does, every season, for at least part of the year.

IMPORTERS

IMPORTERS

The Avolution exports avocados, citrus, and table grapes to import partners across Asia and the Middle East: Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, India, and Gulf markets including UAE. We don't do spot shipments. Every export relationship is a program: agreed specifications, forward allocation confirmed before the season opens, pricing discipline maintained regardless of what the market is doing in a given week. What that means for an import partner: you know what's coming, when it's coming, and what it looks like when it arrives. If something goes wrong at the freight facility or in transit, we manage it. The documentation trail from grower batch through to delivery docket is complete: QA inspection reports, temperature records, and proof of delivery available for every consignment. We also provide marketing support for in-market activation: POS material, Australian Avocados branded consumer education, and in-store sampling support where programs warrant it.

SUPERMARKETS

We supply avocados, citrus, and table grapes to supermarket partners across Australia: major national retailers, independent chains, and franchised groups. The domestic retail relationship is the foundation of The Avolution's business. It's also where supply discipline gets tested most directly. When the wholesale market softens and competitors start offering fruit below program pricing, the question is whether your supplier holds or folds. We hold. Pricing is signalled upward, not downward. Volume is managed to protect the program, not to clear inventory. And when the Hass transition from Shepard creates supply planning complexity for the category team, we provide the forward visibility to manage it. Fresh Care and HARPS compliance is standard across all supply. Grading is consistent to specification. And if the spec needs to change for a particular store format or promotional period, we manage that through the program, not through last-minute substitution.

WHOLESALERS

WHOLESALERS

Wholesale is the market that most quickly reveals whether a supply partner actually has discipline or just talks about it. When supply is tight, we allocate to programs first; wholesale access is not guaranteed at the expense of program commitments. When supply is abundant and wholesale prices soften, we don't use wholesale to clear fruit that should be in the retail channel. That's a short-term fix that damages the price point for everyone, including wholesale operators who've built their business around consistent quality supply. What that means for wholesale partners: you're working with a supplier who understands that your business is built on reliable supply at a consistent standard, not on whatever the market threw onto the spot floor this week. We can supply avocados, citrus, and table grapes into wholesale, and we're a better partner when the relationship is built around a forward program, not week-by-week spot pricing.

FOODSERVICE

Foodservice operators need something that retail buyers don't always prioritise: size consistency. A café doing a fixed-price brunch menu needs to know that the avocados arriving Tuesday are the same size as the ones that arrived last Tuesday. A 5-star hotel kitchen specifying half-avocado servings needs a count size that holds. A high-volume QSR chain needs to know what their cost per serve is across the season, not just this week. We supply avocados, citrus, and table grapes to foodservice operators across Australia and into export markets including HRI accounts in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and the Middle East. Program supply, specification-matched, with the supply continuity that comes from having 120+ growers across multiple growing regions rather than dependence on a single source. If you're a foodservice operator building a forward procurement plan or a distributor supplying into HRI, reach out: exports@theavolution.com.au for export markets, or Get In Touch for domestic programs.
